Rochester Castle Concerts is a magical annual event put on by Medway Council in order to entertain the local community. Some of the best musicians in the business make an appearance at the five day musical extravaganza and around 4,200 people attend the event each day. Headline Security has been providing the security services for this event for over ten years now and has helped to ensure the smooth running of the event time and time again.
Over the years, Headline has built up strong partnerships with the local council as well as the Castle Concerts production team and the local community that use the Castle during the build and break down of the venue. These relationships have been built on a proven service and a foundation of trust which has resulted in a very successful partnership.
What Headline Security Supplied
Each year, we attend a Table Top meeting with the organisers to discuss how we can once again provide an effective service resulting in a safe and successful event. Every detail from timings to capacity is discussed and we are then able to outline precisely what will be required. Our service to Rotherham Castle Concerts includes the following:
- Show meetings at the beginning of each day of the event to discuss issues and share information
- 24 hour a day security cover, including during build/breakdown of the venue
- Access control – signing in and out of staff and maintaining a safe working environment for them
- Welcoming the public and ensuring they receive any relevant information
- Zero tolerance policy on drunkenness, drugs or abuse to staff/members or the public
- Ensuring no dangerous items are brought onto the premises e.g. knives, scissors, glass
- Ensuring the smooth arrival and exit of all musicians and entertainment
Our team are on hand at every area of the event, including the gates, bars, pit, dressing rooms, ticketing office and wrist banding area. We provide a strong presence and ensure everyone at the event feels safe and happy to enjoy themselves. With high profile musicians and bands such as Peter Andre, Status Quo and Blue performing at the Castle Concerts, the demand for a highly professional security team is high.
